If everything goes according to plan, this will be my third journey ending in Croatia. I’m looking for a partner to join this adventure!

The Start: Salzburg – The Gateway to the Alps Bags packed, bike ready. After arriving by train, we’ll hit the road in Salzburg – the city of Mozart and baroque beauty. This is where our true journey begins.

Austria: The Majesty of the Alps We are taking a new, exciting route: passing through picturesque Zell am See, nestled among the peaks, and then through the Felbertauern tunnel. On the other side, Lienz awaits – the Pearl of East Tyrol. Every climb and every breath in the shadow of 3,000-meter peaks reminds us why we do this: for freedom, for adventure, and for views that take your breath away.

Italy: Coffee Aroma and the Dolomites In the Dolomites, every mountain is a masterpiece. I am not sure, what this unpaved way might feel to ride on a rainy day.

Best wishes,
Thoralf

 Hi,
My name is Bjarne and I am 21 years old. In the summer of 2025 I will start my cycling trip around the world, I will start the journey in Alaska and start my way south from there. I thought after doing most of my recent tours alone it would be more fun to share the travel experience with others. What driving together looks like is, of course, entirely up to you. Whether you're "only" going with us for the first month or until Argentina is of course entirely up to you. For me it's not about setting new course records, the focus is on experiencing and discovering the places along the way.
If you are interested or have any questions, write to me.

I look forward to answers

I think that a "stove" like the one shown HERE (mine looks the same) should never be a problem. There is no part included, which could contain some burnable substance (in this case, gas).

 Hello peregrino
I don't know if the question is still relevant. Was your photo really taken in Mallorca? I know the island pretty well - and I haven't noticed a landscape like this there yet.
On Mallorca, many paths outside the roads are privately owned - you're not allowed to drive everywhere. Both the north-west and south-east coasts are mountainous or hilly, and the beaches are in small bays. There is usually a lot of urbanisation on larger beaches, especially in the Bay of Alcudia and the Bay of Palma. These are the longest beaches, but the bays are almost completely populated and not so nice for cycling.
Best regards
Holger

I would like to cycle through Switzerland between July 6 and 20, 2024. My idea would be the Aare route from north to south (see https://schweizmobil.ch/de/veloland/route-8) and back via the Rhine route (see https://schweizmobil.ch/de/veloland/route-2), which almost makes a circle. But actually I just want to cycle through beautiful landscapes and am open to alternative suggestions (e.g. Jura route...).

Normally I just travel, buy food in the store and sleep in a tent or youth hostels. At the age of 62, I can still manage a good 120 km a day, but I would much rather have a bit of a break and enjoy the company and experiences.

Apart from that, I've already done a lot of (long) tours, I'm cultured and sociable and would be delighted if you were interested.

With greetings, Frank

It isn't such snowy and temperature a little bit higher, but is still winter, too. Even there could be rainy days, which isn't really better than cold days. I remember a tour in March with 8 °C and heavy rain the Gardasee. In Austria and the Alpine part of Friuli you don't get better conditions, because it's inside the alpine climate, even if go more south like Wörthersee etc. Winter in Slovenia is stronger than in the German Allgäu, generally. It's a little bit changing in Carinthia and the lake area, if looking to spring 2 month later, getting warm earlier than on the north side, but can't expect this in January.

 Hi fellow Bikers!

I'm Julian, 25 years old, from Austria and I'll start my bike tour on September the 12th in the south of Chile (Punta Arenas) and for the time being I have a rough plan to cycle first through Tierra del Fuego and then over the Andes region further north eventually until i reach Kanada.

My plan so far would be to take as many secluded paths as possible with my Fatbike (Salsa Blackborrow). I'm still in the process of putting together a rougth route.

I will mainly spend the nights in my tent and will have a water filter with me, since I've been a little afraid of running out of water since my boat trips.

I believe that I am a very easy travel partner who is fun to be with and loves it to get to know other people.

greetings, Julian
